Here is the weekly update for you. Get those calendars out again! \u00a01)\u00a0We are down to the home stretch for reading genres as the trimester comes to a close this week! \u00a0All vocabulary for completed books are due to me Wed., Nov. 2. \u00a02) Science exam this week! \u00a0Please study! \u00a03) \u00a0Apologies for not having our Keiki Alaka’i list with me at home, I will update this post on Monday to list names. \u00a0I have been receiving so many positive comments about our Keiki Alaka’i so far! \u00a0Whoop! \u00a0Whoop to you all! \u00a0Great Job! \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0Like we discussed in class, nerves are natural, even my knees shake when I am alaka’i, but we ho’ihi. \u00a0Remember, loud and proud, know your kuleana and practice your hai’olelo in the mirror, and your whole TEAM is right there with you! We got your back! \ud83d\ude42 \u00a04) \u00a0Just a friendly reminder, \u00a0Homework is assigned daily M-Th. \u00a0It includes 30 minutes of daily reading, another assignment, \u00a0& a parent signature on reading log and planner. \u00a0There is usually an ixl assignment and blog assignment too. \u00a0Mahalo for diving into our fishbowl to check on what is happening daily in the planners. <\/span>
\nMonday, Oct. 31: -Day 1: \u00a0Kula Ha’aha’a’s Annual Halloween Parade begins at 12:25pm. \u00a0Parade route: \u00a0begins at dining hall, down the walkway by CRBLC, turns in front of Pauahi Lani Nui Admin. bldg., down the lower el walkway! \u00a0Join us for some spooktacular fun! \u00a0This will be a kodak moment! \u00a0Come capture some memories! \u00a0Students: \u00a0remember to follow the guidelines from Kumu Marcie that was sent home.<\/p>\n

Tuesday, Nov. 1: Shawncen-\u00a0Keiki Alaka’i<\/span>-Day 2: \u00a0Christian Education today. <\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday, Nov. 2: Kiara-\u00a0Keiki Alaka’i<\/span>-Day 3: Science final exam with Mrs. Chang. \u00a0The students will get a special treat today! \u00a0The classes are invited to watch “The Sound of Music” at the Lunalilo Hale! Our own 5B FISH! will be singing and dancing their way into our hearts…on the grand stage too! \u00a0Break a leg (That’s theater talk for do a great job) to Aukai, Kyden, Daniel, Ashley, Kealapono, & Kaelyn. \u00a0We’re proud of you already! \u00a0Ohana: \u00a0If you would like to watch this wonderful production filled with KS keiki in all divisions, please contact Ms. Lisa Pana for ticket purchase information. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday, Nov. 3: Lokelani-\u00a0Keiki Alaka’i<\/span>-Day 4: \u00a0Official end to Trimester #1! \u00a0Great job of ho’omau students of 5B! \u00a0Imua Day-(Blue and White) Show your Kamehameha spirit and support by wearing blue and white! \u00a0See flyer from Kumu Marcie which went home last week. \u00a0Library Day- Don’t forget to bring your books to school to return to avoid any late fees. \u00a0This would be a great time to plan ahead for Trimester #2 reading genre requirements, which will be the same…9 genres! \ud83d\ude42 <\/span><\/p>\n

Friday, Nov. 4: NO SCHOOL<\/span> for keiki! <\/span><\/p>\n

*Heads Up for the coming week:<\/span> Attention parents, we need your kokua. \u00a0Mrs. Pai has set up a wonderful visit by Aunty Gerry Johansen \u00a0and friends on Wed.
