It seems that Hurricane Ana is moving away from the Big Island as I type, but please be aware that Flash Flooding may still be happening! \u00a0 A great day to get extra ohana time at home with extra-curricular activities probably canceled, time to catch up and “talk story” about the latest happenings in class, \u00a0time to have family movie day at home, time to do some extra chores :0, time to work on genius hour research (hint, hint), read to meet genre\/self-set reading goals, or time to just relax…and stay dry indoors! \u00a0Whatever it may be, BE SAFE…you matter! \u00a0As a reminder, magenta color<\/span> is for students-a call for action, blue color<\/span>-attention ohana.<\/p>\n

Students planners show current # of books and # of genres completed as of Thurs., Oct. 16. \u00a0Fire Safety Guide also went home on Thurs. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"image\"<\/a>Mon., Oct. 20-Day 3: \u00a0Ekalesia today! \u00a0Please wear your mandatory dress whites. \u00a0GENIUS HOUR RESEARCH DUE<\/span> in class today! \u00a0Please bring all your research from the last 2 weeks to class.<\/span> \u00a0We will be working on tech presentations, inforgraphics, and feature article writing using the research….so, don\u02bbt forget it at home! \u00a0Student-Led Conference sign<\/span> up sheet will be sent home today! \u00a0Please indicate your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice on the sheet and return to school asap. \u00a0I will TRY my best to honor choices! \u00a0Conference times will be assigned on 1st come, 1st serve basis. \u00a0Students will again be in school during those days and meet in class to share their learning! \u00a0 A confirmation of your time will be sent home at a later date…conferences are on Nov. 20-21st.<\/p>\n
