The weeks are sure flying by and we are deep into the month of March now…Let me begin by saying Mahalo to everyone for coming to Student-Led Conferences last week. \u00a0It is always nice to see all of you as we bind together like the olon\u0101<\/span> to help “our” children succeed! \u00a0The students did \u00a0a wonderful job of sharing their successes and identifying what their areas of need to continue to work on using the Book Creator app on the iPads. \u00a0Can you believe they did that in a day! (Since the iPads arrived a little late) \u00a0Maika\u02bbi Loa! \u00a0Reminder to please return all report card envelopes to class, if you haven\u02bbt already done so. \u00a0Will try to add a new Hawaiian word to our posts and highlight it in green<\/span>.<\/p>\n

As you all know, we are working hard with the iPads as we pilot this in hopes of going 1:1 in the near future…We will be trying something new with technology and learning daily, ask your keiki for the highlights of the day. \u00a0Continuous Challenge to\u00a0<\/span>Haum\u0101na: \u00a0Remember to share! \u00a0That will surely make your ohana\u02bbs day! \u00a0No Fine, IDK, or boring accepted! \ud83d\ude09 \u00a0Sharing continues to build pilina at home too!<\/span><\/p>\n

Tues., Mar. 12-Day 4: Library Day…don\u02bbt forget to bring your books to avoid overdue fines!<\/p>\n

Wed., Mar. 13-Day 5: Special Day Schedule today…We have a Bus Evacuation Drill today, jeans are allowed. \u00a0Flyers were sent home with report cards. \u00a0At 1:30pm, we will be participating in a school-wide event to celebrate Art Month…”Make Your Mark, It\u02bbs Sidewalk Art.” \u00a0All of the haum\u0101na of Kula Ha\u02bbaha\u02bba, as well as all the teachers will be sharing their artistic talents in chalk….all over the sidewalks on our campus. \u00a0The 5th graders will be assigned to “beautify or chalkify” the area fronting our admin. building. \u00a0Come by after school to see their work!<\/p>\n

Thurs., Mar. 14-Day6: \u00a0N\u0101 Koa Reward Day # 8: \u00a0The students who have \u00a0come to school everyday without a tardy or a referral will be celebrating by having an extended recess! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0Our High School Brothers and Sisters will be performing at their annual Ho\u02bbike which begins today!<\/p>\n

Fri., Mar. 15-Day 1: \u00a0We have the privilege of watching the High School haum\u0101na at their Ho\u02bbike today. \u00a0We will be walking up to Koai\u02bba Gym. \u00a0**Reminder: \u00a0PTO Bookstore will be open today from 3:00-5:00pm. \u00a0Don\u02bbt forget to drop by to purchase the latest in KS attire or supplies. \u00a0HS Ho\u02bbike night performance. \u00a0iPads are suppose to leave today, cross your fingers that we can get an extension. \u00a0Maybe we need to write a persuasive letter to Apple? \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
