Be prepared for the Chapter 2 Pre-Algebra Test on Friday! STUDY!!!
Don’t forget to log on to aaamath.com (see the blogroll on my main page) and keep track of your high score over the weekend for the facts practice. We will be looking over the “That Quiz” site next week in class … check it out ahead of time if you’d like!
ALSO: don’t forget to get your parent’s signature on the progress reports handed out today in school. TAKE CARE of your NWNG!
Each pair of students must complete one NWNG Poster and one Pa’ina Day Poster using Photoshop and the digital pictures that were taken on 9/20/07. Be sure to properly cite the source of your water slide photos if they were taken from a website.
Do not print posters yet … place them in Mr. K’s drop box for grading when you are finished.
Report back to the computer lab starting Monday 9/24/07, but be sure to stop by the VTAM Lab to finish cutting the plexiglass and plywood sheets to fit your individually sized frame. Finished frames should have even coats of finish, nail holes filled with putty, and framer’s points holding in the wood and plexiglass (don’t peel paper off yet). Label each frame with your first and last name, c/o 2012, and Kamehameha Schools written clearly on the back.
Tech students are currently fabricating picture frames for use by our art students when displaying work at the annual art show at the East Hawai’i Cultural Center.
Got all your pieces? Do a good job sanding!
Glue and clamp …..
Cut your backing …..
Apply that Danish Oil …..
Secure with the Framer’s Points ….. Great Job!
Don’t be one of those who will miss Friday’s dance because you have missing assignments! All missing assignments need to be submitted to me by Monday morning at the end of recess!
Harper and friends have been busy prepping all of the pieces for the 6th grade picnic tables to be donated to the bird sanctuary.
Measure twice and cut once … NOT the other way around!
Great job! Keep up the good work!
Pre-Algebra Text
Also … Be sure to show unit and individual cost calculations on the back of your name boards before applying one last coat of varnish.
Log in to your Hawaii Stock Market Simulation account and look over the “General Information” and “About the SMS.” Be prepared to discuss in class with your partner … the competition starts in October!
