Fables, fables, fables. Papa ‘Ekolu students have been introduced to the genre of fables. Students are reading the classic fables from Aesop and local fables written by Leslie Ann Hayashi. This week the students will select a fable to memorize and recite it at our speech festival being held at the end of this month. The K-5 finals will be held on February 4th at which time we will have one (or one pair) of student(s) competing. Please ask your child about the fable that he\/she will be reciting and help him\/her to practice it every night. Attached you will find our schoolwide rubric for scoring.<\/p>\n
