Specials &#8220;plus&#8221; (including our resource teachers and two guest teachers) create and deliver interesting and fun activities for students for most of the day. On the first student led conference days in November, we were fortunate to have our Ho\u02bbokahua staff, based in Honolulu, work with our students focusing on the theme of M\u0101lama Honua and the worldwide voyage of the H\u014dk\u016ble\u02bba and Hikianalia.<\/p>\n<p>On March 5 and 6, the student led conference days were made even more special as our very own grounds crew stepped up to the plate to serve as teachers for our haumana, K-5. Same focus: M\u0101lama Honua. How can we m\u0101lama our own honua, our own \u02bb\u0101ina, right here at school.<\/p>\n<p>We owe a debt of gratitude to Kawika Lewis, Keiki Kekipi, Ka\u02bbimi Wilson and Greg Ho for teaching our haumana.
