Speech time!<\/p><\/div>\n

Nineteen 4th and 5th graders campaigned last week for \u02bbAha \u02bb\u014cpio (Student Council) officer positions of president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, at our all school morning oli, these brave candidates gave their campaign speeches to approximately 300 students, faculty, staff and \u02bbohana.\u00a0 Candidates created cheers that the crowd joined in on.\u00a0 A few\u00a0candiates sang songs or offered up a rap to help their constituents remember them.\u00a0 Very creative and very poised!<\/p>\n

Immediately after the speeches, students had an opportunity to vote for their favorite candidate.\u00a0 Stay tuned for the winners!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to all of the candidates who took that leap of courage to run for office and to go through this learning process.\u00a0 We are so proud of each and every one of you!!!<\/p>\n
