We recently mailed home to our parents and ʻohana, the 2013-2014 school calendar along with a letter from principal, Mrs. Naeʻole-Wong.
Something NEW with regard to our 2013-2014 calendar and school policy henceforth, is that students will now be expected to attend school for the entire day during our Student Led Conference Days.
Our poʻokula (headmaster), Dr. Holua Stender, along with our campus educational leadership team, have considered our school calendar and the impact that our instructional time has on students. In order to allow students to have the most instructional time, we will have full day student schedules on the Student Led Conference Days.
Basically each Student Led Conference Day will be considered a regular school day. Students will attend their own conferences. They will be excused from any classwork missed while at their conference. These days will be designated as Specials Enrichment Days in order to allow students more instructional time with their special teachers.
May we also suggest to use this calendar to assist in your planning of family vacations for the upcoming school year.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our vice-principal, Mrs. Liana Iaea-Honda at 982-0251 or you may email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
