During the school year of 2007-2008 we were fortunate to have a family donate two red-eared slider turtles. It was a great animal to have in the classroom as they were very active. Constantly swimming around, basking in the sunlight, and gulping their food.
They are no longer with us. However, we will always remember all the fun we had watching them dive underwater and how they would follow our fingers on the glass.
I wish we could get some more. I really love turtles. I think the students would like to study them as well.
I remeber those turtles. They were so cute!
I just went to Petco in Kona and they have some red-eared slider turtles. I like them as well. Was thinking of getting one again.
