As the first graders learn about the three states of matter, they’ll be conducting experiments that demonstrate the properties and characteristics of the three states of matter, solid, liquid and gas.
In today’s experiment, students watched as they mixed a liquid and a solid to get a gas. They used vinegar and mixed it with baking soda. What they produced was a gas, in which was captured by their balloon.
Check the students as they each perform the experiment. Mahalo for all the students who brought in bottles for the experiment.
