Aloha mai kākou!  I am excited to announce that students and parents are now able to view Hawaiian Language Proficiency Assessment standings via KS Connect.

When logging on to KS Connect, you will now see “HL Proficiency” under the progress tab.

Once you click on the link for “HL Proficiency,” you will see:

If there are blanks, that means that those skill assessments have not yet been attempted.

We will be offering the listening, reading, speaking, and writing assessments for students who are not enrolled currently in a Hawaiian 1 class from Tuesday, February 3, 2015 through Friday, February 6, 2015.  Students who wish to sign up must do so during a designated free period.  Please sign up using the following link:

The sign up will be available until the end of the school day on Wednesday, January 21.  Confirmation emails will be sent to the email address that you provide on the sign up form.  This will be the last Hawaiian Language Proficiency Assessment offering for students who are not currently enrolled in a Hawaiian 1 class.

The sign up for the speaking assessment is now open.  The form will be open until Wednesday, January 7, 2015.  Please use the following link to sign up:

The actual assessment will be offered on Tuesday, January 13 through January 16.

The Listening & Reading portions of the Hawaiian Language Proficiency assessment will be offered on Thursday, November 20, 2014 and Friday, November 21, 2014. All students who signed up for the September writing assessments were sent emails today with the time, date, and location of the test. Please be sure to have your school ID and a pencil on test day. If you are unable to keep your scheduled session, please reply to your email as soon as possible.
