HYCC provides exciting hands-on opportunities to engage youth in actively protecting and preserving Hawaii’s natural resources. The HYCC offers a year-round internship program and summer programs which provide young adults with internships and life-building experiences in order to train and equip them with skills and knowledge to prepare them for future educational pursuits, career endeavors, and leadership in their communities. The seed of a Homecoming Week was planted last year by Evan Castrol ‘09. Future Alums Brooke Malama and Dalen Nakooka have nurtured that seed as their senior project and will host an Inaugural Homecoming Week next month at KSH.
Invitations have been mailed to all KSH alums to welcome our alums back for an Inaugural Alumni Reception and School Concert featuring Anuhea Jenkins ‘03.

Kumu Pau is seeking kökua on Friday, March 19th at Wailoa Park. Please email her at hapau@ksbe.edu if you are available to assist IPUKUKUI (Enrichment) as chaperones between 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Wailoa Park and Hilo Bay area.
IPUKUKUI is expecting a total of 150-200 kamali`i in grades 6-9 who will be enjoying planned activities such as kite-fight, fishing derby, canoe racing as part of their MAKAHIKI – KÜ: LÖKAHI

Every year, the Kamehameha ‘ohana gathers to celebrate the birth of our beloved Bernice Pauahi Bishop.
The Kamehameha Schools Alumni Association, O’ahu Region would like to invite ALL Alumni to celebrate the birth of our Princess with the blessing of, and at Kawaiaha’o Church during Ali’i Sunday.
Date: December 13, 2009
Time: Arrive by 8:00am and be seated no later than 8:15am.
Services will end at approximately 10:00am; please do not leave sooner.
Place: Kawaiaha’o Church
Attire: Church or Aloha attire – Blue & White encouraged, though optional
Purpose: To honor Pauahi through the spirit of Christ and ‘ohana
Following Church, we will take ho’okupu to Mauna ‘Ala where we will conduct a short ceremony. Roses, lei, pu’olo or any form of makana may be left at the Kamehameha Tomb. Parking is available at the Seventh Day Adventist Church mauka of the Royal Mausoleum. Please do not park in front of the Kamehameha Tomb, but kupuna may park within the grounds of Mauna ‘Ala. A procession will enter through the main gates. Feel free to assemble on the grassy area in front of the Kalakaua Crypt facing the gate.
