This scholarship does not require you to attend a college in Hawaii but must be of Hawaiian ancestry to be eligible.
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be Hawaiian, defined as a descendent of the aboriginal inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands prior to 1778, as evidenced by original, certified birth records
Be a United States citizen
Have a high school diploma (or its equivalent)
Be enrolled in or accepted to attend, either full-time or half time, an accredited two- or four-year degree-granting institution of higher education in Hawaii or the continental US.
Demonstrate financial need through submission of the 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Using the 4.0 GPA scale, you attained a minimum grade point average of at least 2.0 for undergraduates or 3.0 for graduate students as evidenced by you most recent official transcript.
Kōkua from people you work with such as students, teachers, or just friends is needed at various sites in Hilo. During the spring break, KS program IPUKUKUI will be running for one week. On Friday, March 19, Kona IPUKUKUI participants will be joining E. Hawai`i for a fishing derby, kite flying, and canoe paddling. So far, we have 394 total number of student participants. Volunteers will kōkua as chaperones, scorekeepers, etc. We will need kōkua from 8:00am – 12:00pm. Lunch will be included. This is our very first big event and are desparately in need of volunteers.

Nä Pua No`eau’s 19th annual Hawaiian Family afFAIR is scheduled for Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In addition to the many exhibits and booths, attendees will be entertained by MC Kumu Crabbe and our ES hälau, and be photographed (free) by our Yearbook members Lilinoe Heaukulani (Io) / Shanley Apele, and Campus Outreach Team. With kuleana for approximately 365,000 acres of land on five islands, 98% of which is in agriculture and conservation, Kamehameha Schools’ Land Assets Division seeks to mālama i ka `āina by practicing ethical, prudent and culturally appropriate stewardship of its lands and natural resources.
In order to sustain the Schools’ endowment and Hawai`i lands in perpetuity, the Strategic Agricultural Plan was prepared to provide a framework and strategy for the short-term and long-term management of KS agricultural lands statewide.

HYCC provides exciting hands-on opportunities to engage youth in actively protecting and preserving Hawaii’s natural resources. The seed of a Homecoming Week was planted last year by Evan Castrol ‘09. Future Alums Brooke Malama and Dalen Nakooka have nurtured that seed as their senior project and will host an Inaugural Homecoming Week next month at KSH.
Invitations have been mailed to all KSH alums to welcome our alums back for an Inaugural Alumni Reception and School Concert featuring Anuhea Jenkins ‘03.
