Sorting, Organizing, and Making Sets

Children were busy during math sorting buttons, organizing them, and making sets. We learned that a set is a group of objects or numbers. So students set off to work with a bag of assorted buttons and it was so interesting to see some of the categories students came up with. They organized sets of buttons according to number of holes, sizes, shapes cool and not cool.
