{"id":14,"date":"2015-08-26T13:39:02","date_gmt":"2015-08-26T23:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogsksbeedu.wpenginepowered.com\/hah\/?page_id=14"},"modified":"2015-09-18T14:40:28","modified_gmt":"2015-09-19T00:40:28","slug":"fundraising","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/hah\/fundraising\/","title":{"rendered":"Fundraising"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Help us get to Scotland!<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/hah\/2015\/09\/18\/our-first-donation-mahalo-pto\/\">Our first donation! \u00a0Mahalo PTO!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Help us get to Scotland by taking your recyclables to <strong>Atlas Recycling<\/strong>. \u00a0Ask for the proceeds to go to <strong>account #46<\/strong> (&#8220;Edinburgh&#8221;). \u00a0 That&#8217;s all there is to it!<\/p>\n<p>We plan to take 20 students and 10 staff members. \u00a0The cost for each participant is approximately $7,100.00 for a total of <strong>$213,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FUNDRAISING PLANS<\/strong>\u00a0include performances that will be open to the public with proceeds going to the Scotland fund. \u00a0Mark your calendars for the following exciting events:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/hah\/west-side-story\/\"><strong>WEST SIDE STORY<\/strong> \u00a0<\/a>November 19 (4pm), 20-21 (7pm). \u00a0Tickets only $5 \u00a0<em>The classic modern telling of Romeo and Juliet set on the gritty streets of New York. \u00a0Guest choreographer Jenn Eng lends her talents to this challenging and memorable production.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>CHRISTMAS CONCERT<\/strong> \u00a0Wednesday, December 2 (6pm). \u00a0Featuring band, hula, choir classes and special guests. \u00a0Tickets $12. \u00a0<em>Get in the spirit of the season with the performing arts department.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/hah\/2015\/08\/27\/ka-lei-haweo%ca%bbula-o-ke-ao-hou\/\">H\u014c\u02bbIKE 2016 &#8211; &#8220;H\u0101\u02bbupu&#8221;<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 March 10-11 (7pm). \u00a0The third Hawaiian-language opera produced by KS-Hawaii, based on the legend of Kana and Niheu. \u00a0Tickets $12.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students have been selling ice cream during lunch, bringing in about $500.00 a week.<\/p>\n<p>Our projected in-house fundraising will be $135,000. \u00a0<strong>Our shortfall will be $78,000<\/strong>, for which we are seeking help.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Help us get to Scotland!
