It’s hard to believe that our Fifth Annual Technology Conference is right around the corner! We are living in a time of exciting change, and our June 2013 conference is set to provide a time of learning, networking, and sharing with educators from around the state and world.
A CALLOUT FOR PROPOSALS
You are invited to submit a proposal to share your experience and expertise with your fellow educators at our 2013 Kūkulu Kaiaulu Conference: Building Global Communities on June 4 and 5 at the Neal Blaisdell Center. Others will benefit from your experience while you make a valuable contribution to the profession. Our goal is for attendees to experience informative, inspirational, relevant, and meaningful professional development.
The conference is expected to attract about 400 attendees and draw many participants eager to learn about (and implement) the latest ideas and technology in education. This year, there will be several formats for presenting innovate uses of technology in education. In addition to one- and two-hour sessions, we’re including venues for short and sweet sharing:
Soapbox: Open microphone sessions held in the spirit of a TED Talk or Ignite event, where participants will be given five minutes to share an idea, a project, a discovery, or an innovation.
iPad smackdown: Open microphone sessions, where participants will be given five minutes to share an app
Breakout session presenters will be provided complimentary conference registration.
The conference will offer 12 conference strands:
- Strand #1: EthnoTech (Technology in Culture Based Learning)
- Strand #2: #FollowMe (Social Media)
- Strand #3: Game On! (Game Based Learning)
- Strand #4: Grooving with Google
- Strand #5: I’d Like to Teach the World to Ping (Global Education)
- Strand #6: Learning On the Go (Mobile Learning & Device Management)
- Strand #7: Splendid Blended Learning (Blended Online Learning)
