We will share how technology has helped our students to create innovative projects and take action on solving real-world problems. Various student projects and examples will be shared including: videos, web 2.0 tools, and lesson ideas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liz Castillo<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Kamehameha Schools Kap\u0101lama<\/strong><br \/>\nLiz Castillo is a 7th grade science teacher at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Middle School.\u00a0 She has been teaching middle school for 13 years in both public and private schools and also has experience as a technology resource teacher helping both teachers and students to effectively use technology tools.\u00a0 Liz is passionate about using technology with students to help them communicate, collaborate, and connect with others.\u00a0 Liz was honored to be named an Apple Distinguished Educator (2009), a Siemens STEM Fellow (2010), an Edmodo Featured Blogger (2011), and a member of the Apple CBL Advisory Board (2012).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christy Mishina<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Kamehameha Schools Kap\u0101lama<\/strong><br \/>\nChristy Mishina currently teaches 7th grade English at Kamehameha Middle School. She has taught in elementary and middles schools for the past 19 years.
