A Model for Faculty Self-Evaluation of Web 2.0 and Social Media Site Risks

Presentation
IT Strand

In the past many enterprises, including schools, tried to require advance approval of Web and Social Media sites prior to use. These “fences” protected staff and students but also inhibit innovation. This presentation describes an alternative “National Park” approach where access is less restricted but faculty can self-asses the risks and get assistance before using sites.
