Abstract:
7th grade math students were asked to create a sustainable elementary school in 3-D using several technology tools including Google Earth, Google Sketch-up, GarageBand, Word, Excel, and iTunes. This project was used to teach math concepts (ratio, proportions, scale, and scale factor) as well as reinforce the values related to sustainable buildings and structures.
