Lamakū

Our Lamakū Speech Festival Finals were held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Every student participated beginning with a preliminary round in their homerooms where classes selected their top 5 performers to move on to the semi finals.  From there, 2 performances per class were selected by a panel of judges to represent their class and grade levels in the finals.

Hoʻomaikaʻi Kākou!  Students at all levels embraced Lamakū with an open mind and heart.  Lamakū “the torch” or “the best” or “the light” will lead the way.  Our keiki did indeed strive for excellence, to show their light, and to be the light for others.  Yes, it is their kuleana to “carry the torch from the past” and take it into the future.  CONGRATULATIONS to all keiki for their hard work and determination.  Hoʻomaikaʻi to our finalists for their poise, courage and manaʻo!
