Adding a YouTube Video to your Blog Post

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Login to your WP blog, click on “Write” then “Posts”
  2. Check to see that you have two tabs, “Visual” and “Code” (see Image 1)
  3. Click on the “Visual” tab
  4. Click on the last icon – Yellow circle with a “V” for embed Video
  5. Paste the URL from the address bar on the page that contains your YouTube video selection. Do not copy the embed video code

Note: YouTube is blocked on the KS network.

If you don’t see two tabs:

  1. Click on “Users” > “Your Profile”
  2. Check in the box next to “Use the Visual Editor when writing”
    (see Image 3)
  3. Return to “Write” then “Posts

If you still don’t see two tabs:

  1. You may need to change browsers.
  2. If you are on a Macintosh, use Firefox (see Image 1), Safari does not load the visual editor applet (see Image 2).
