The following step-by-step instructions are provided to ensure your success with Blackboard.
Step 1: Request a Blackboard account/course
- E-mail Chandell Asuncion chasuni@ksbe.edu
Please provide the following information in your e-mail:- Name of course to be setup
- KS (Hawai’i)
Step 2: Review Blackboard Policies and Collaboration Tool settings
- Review the Blackboard Policies link in your course
Once your course is created, there will be a button titled “BB Policies” that links to the policies on the VSDL Web site (http://ksdl.ksbe.edu/bb_policies/). Course participants are required to abide by the Kamehameha Schools Distance Learning Policies. Please make sure you read through these documents carefully. - Collaboration Tool – Chat and Virtual Classroom
Chat can be a valuable synchronous tool to enhance course communication. You are responsible for all communication that takes place within this tool. By default, the Collaboration tool will be turned off. If you choose to use this tool in your course, you will need to make this tool available and record all chat communication. Step 3: Enroll students
- Download the BB Enrollment Template for KSH (Microsoft Excel Document)
The names currently in the template are for the support staff, please leave those names in the template.
Please complete:- The student’s first name, last name, and e-mail columns
- Basically you can use the hand-out that Nanea emailed a few days ago, to download your class roster, from KS Connect which will also have their email addresses
- Save the document as BB_Enroll_”your username”_KSH.xls (e.g. BB_Enroll_chasunci_KSH.xls)
- E-mail the completed template to Chandell Asuncion, chasunci@ksbe.edu
- After the students have been batch enrolled, you will receive a confirmation e-mail please keep a copy of the completed template for your records.

- ETS will be piloting Blackboard v7 in December 2008, and is targeting June 2009 as a release date for v7.

When we enroll our students we must send their names to you is there anyway for me to enroll then on my own? If i want to add a single student?
