HAVE AN ART FILLED SUMMER!!! INSPIRE, CREATE, AND SHARE!

Congratulations…

Kenisha Rowe took 1st place
Alana Paiva took 2nd place
Jonah Nitura took 3rd place for 6th grade division,

in the MOA Museum of Art Children’s Art Exhibition.

Local awards are being presented on Saturday, May 9th at 10 a.m. at the Hilo Shopping Center.

Following the local exhibit, the art pieces will then be sent to Honolulu and be displayed with other districts work at the Honolulu Academy of Arts Linekona Art Center on June 6th -13th. A Best of Show entry will be selected from among those works and the piece will be sent to Japan to be part of an international Student Art Exhibition.

Art work from students K – 12 are on display at Big Island Federal Credit Union, Puna Branch. The credit union is located in the Shipman Industrial Park.

We are thrilled that the credit union leadership has given us this opportunity to display student art. Please take a moment to stop by and admire the work of Kamehameha’s talented youth.

The credit union is opened Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday hours are 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The work will remain up through the summer.
