Thank You, Parents & Students of Wailele 2015!!!

Mahalo nui loa for the blog you created for me. It was the best gift I could ever ask for as a teacher. I was touched by the comments.

I really love being a teacher. Every morning during the school year, I couldn’t wait to get to my classroom in the morning. Everyday was different and I never knew what awaited me each day. It was a memorable year because of an extraordinary class, the Wailele class of 2015.

Hey, Mr. Chung! How ya doing? Are you having a good summer because mine is awesome. Can’t wait till I become a 6th grader, then I could visit you and your class sometime. Thank you for teaching our class so much. When we become 6th graders we are going to know a lot and be ahead of everyone else. You are one of the best teachers I have ever known and thank you for teaching us about Global Warming. You really changed my perspective about how I look and do things in the world. Thank you for never giving up on us even though we had some rough times. Oh, and you were right! My parents do thank you for pushing us to learn more. They always tell me how blessed I must be for having a teacher this great. I bet noone will ever forget you because I know I won’t.

When you get this if you can, can you tell me some more tips on how to be successful in math and in the future. Till then, hope you have a wonderful summer and I will see you when school starts!

Hi Mr. Chung! My vacation is almost over and I’ve had lots of fun. What makes it more fun is the fact that I could brag about you and what you taught me. It is such a great feeling knowing more than a lot of other kids my age. I’ve been in California for two weeks now, and every Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday I would wake up at seven-thirty and walk to the barn at the ranch I’m staying at. Then I would get on a horse of my choosing and we would ride for about a half an hour into the direct middle of the ranch to eat breakfast. It may sound tiring but I would do anything to ride horses! It’s funny though, it’s Global Warming, bu last year, the temperatures were about 70 degrees F, while this year it was only 59 degrees! I could talk on and on about my trip to the guest ranch. I even got to work there for a little while! My dad says since Kamehameha has such a big trust, we should send some kids every year here to work mucking around the stalls and the petting zoo, etc. I would love to hear about your vacation. Send it to me quick! I’m anxious to hear any news from school at all! See you on the thirteenth!
